The ultimate top-quality product for the Advantage Metal Group is a result of our honed expertise in scrap metal recycling processes. High-quality product begins by purchasing high-quality scrap. After it’s been sorted, the heavy machinery goes to work  – shredders, shears, balers, front-end loaders, crane-mounted electromagnets, and grapples.

The material we receive is sorted, graded, properly prepared and packaged for sale. The shredding-shearing-torching-cutting-baling process varies based on the type of metal – ferrous or nonferrous, large or small, light gauge or heavy gauge. By identifying the metals composition, we offer an assurance of real consistency to brokers, founders, smelters, mills and mini-mills. Our systems and processes are demanding, pushing our recycling to capacity every year.

Advantage has made a substantial investment in its processing equipment. Our regional network draws scrap from multiple locations and channels the material into the most economical path. Advantage can coordinate all scrap activity for large producers of scrap and improve their net scrap revenue. Using our own extensive truck fleet, Iron Horse Transport, customers receive a very high level of customer service.

Advantage sells its scrap products to end-users, our consumers, such as refineries, smelters, specialty steel makers, foundries, and specialty ingot makers and others. Our end product is offered in a number of different sized and shaped products to meet each customer’s specifications and market demand.
